The GRÜNBAG clutch Alma is designed as your little bag that always holds your essentials like keys, phone and cards close. Take it as it is with you for a coffee and a night out, or use it as a core bag that travels between your different activities like sports bag and work bag. With the clutch as your little organizer, you always know where your essentials are and can grab them without searching. 

Alma is part of the GRÜNBAG Leather Bags, a series of upcycled online exclusive bags designed in 2021 designed and handmade from retired leather furniture. 

Why design a sleeve from recycled leather?

Leather is a resource-intense material, with a high carbon footprint and upcycling leather effectively reduces chemical use, water consumption, and waste. And we love rethinking waste into potential. In a world with limited resources and climate change on everyone's main agendas, we are thinking circular, and are designing our bag collection from sustainable resources which are mainly up- & recycled. A leather sofa can circulate a number of times as second-hand furniture among consumers. One day the sofa may get a hole, a big stain, or no longer meets the standard, and needs to retire. Yet the leather component can transform into a new life. We believe such durable and beautiful material is a wonderful addition to our material universe

One-offs handmade in Denmark

The GRÜNBAG collection of leather bags includes four styles with a focus on minimalistic, stylish design with high quality combined with thought-out functionality. Vintage materials like used leather come with their own history and possible little marks and signs from their first life, which makes every bag distinct and gives each piece its very own expression.

Colors of the leather collection 

We mainly work with the classic colors brown and black for our upcycled leather series. Yet we love a good statement and always watch out for special colors when we handpick the materials. How to take care of your leather bag

Pre-loved material wants to be taken care of to ensure a long second life. Walking out in all kinds of climates and adventures will add to the expression of the bag and we sure love a  beautiful patina. We suggest treating your bag with wax and or using an impregnation spray from time to time, to keep the bag shiny and protected from drying out.
